On Friday 11th and Saturday 12th March 2022 as part of the The Queen’s Green Canopy Platinum Jubilee Celebrations Dingwall Community Woodland saw the very first 70 trees planted.

There was a fantastic turn out from community groups and individuals on both days, all eager to be part of the momentous occasion.
Everyone was welcomed to the site by Josie Fraser, on behalf of the Steering Group, and then after a quick demonstration on tree planting from Richard Lockett everyone got cracking either digging, planting, staking or placing guards on the trees. The tree protection guards were beautifully decorated by Dingwall Primary School pupils.
