π³ walk around the woodland and see how the new trees the community planted earlier in the year are getting on
πΏπ join one of our woodland and wildlife tours that will be running throughout the day
π¦ π take part in our species hunt to see how many plants and animals we can find in the woodland
π¦ look inside a moth trap that will be set up the night before and go on a butterfly walk
π¦ join an evening bat walk
βπ° enjoy some refreshments
Schedule:
10.45am β Gates open
11am β Uncovering the moth traps and looking closely at the species that flew in overnight. This will be followed by a butterfly walk.
All day β Visit the nature table and learn about local wildlife, go on a bug hunt, join a nature walk to look closely at the plants and trees in the field.
NEW: Join us back in the field later that day, at 9.30pm for an evening bat walk with the local bat conservation group! π¦
We will also have snacks and drinks available throughout the day.
There is no entry fee however the group would be grateful if you are able to make a donation to the Dingwall Community Woodland on the day to help us cover the costs of running these events and to go towards the project. π
